Seatrans continues to support Ukraine

In July 2025, Seatrans, in partnership with HMM Helsehjelp Ukraina, delivered a fully equipped ambulance truck to Ukraine. This truck is part of a larger deliverance of four vehicles, that can transport critically injured patients safely away from the front lines. Each truck is fitted with medical equipment to handle up to four patients at a time, providing a vital link between the battlefield and safe hospitals further away.

This latest delivery builds on a long-term commitment. Since spring 2022, shortly after the war started, Seatrans has continuously supported HMM Helsehjelp with humanitarian aid and medical equipment for Ukraine. From the start, the focus has been on ensuring that contributions are effective and meaningful, delivering what is most urgently needed and making a real difference.

Meaningful projects delivered
  • Mobile Emergency Hospital: The first donation was a contribution to a fully equipped mobile operating theatre built into a large truck. It functions as a complete emergency ward where two patients can undergo surgery simultaneously, right at the front.
  • Dental Clinics: Eight mobile dental clinics have been established, with Seatrans financing one of them. Two more are currently under development. These clinics are essential, as untreated dental problems can severely impact soldiers performance and overall recovery from injuries. Over 2000 patients are treated each month, including 250 at the Seatrans-funded clinic alone.
  • Ambulance truck: As the need for safe patient transport grew, HMM Helsehjelp delivered four ambulance buses, one funded by Seatrans. Each can transport up to four critically injured patients with full medical support, making this HMM Helsehjelp’s largest project to date.
Ensuring transparency and impact

Every person working on HMM Helsehjelp’s projects, including administration, does so voluntarily. This means 100% of donated funds go directly to aid projects, without administrative costs. So far in 2025, the organisation has delivered equipment and aid worth over NOK 60 million to Ukraine.

Seatrans and HMM Helsehjelp also emphasise strengthening the Ukrainian economy by ensuring equipment is built in Ukraine whenever possible. This not only creates local jobs and expertise but also ensures that equipment can be repaired and maintained on site.

A commitment for the long term

The needs in Ukraine are constantly changing. Through direct dialogue with the Ukrainian military’s medical forces, HMM Helsehjelp can respond quickly and deliver what is most urgently required. While state aid often takes longer due to bureaucracy, private actors like Seatrans can act swiftly.

For Seatrans, it is both meaningful and necessary to stand by a people fighting for their freedom. We will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it is needed.
